SriLankan Aviation College, the training arm of SriLankan Airlines, has been recognised as a top performing Authorised Training Centre (ATC) for 2024 by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) – a prestigious accolade bestowed on the best training institutions globally.
This achievement elevates the college to IATA’s Preferred ATC category, highlighting its commitment to excellence in aviation training.
CEO of SriLankan Airlines Richard Nuttall expressed pride in the college’s progress, noting its efforts to offer high quality job ready programmes led by expert instructors.
The college has consistently introduced IATA programmes in Sri Lanka – including courses such as the foundation in travel and tourism, a cargo introductory course and the airline cabin crew course among many others.
SriLankan Aviation College has been an ATC since its inception and recognised as a top performer for several consecutive years. It is also Sri Lanka’s only IATA Regional Training Partner and one of the few in the region.
With over 35 years of training under its belt, the college collaborates with recognised institutions to extend comprehensive aviation and corporate training programmes.
It is also certified by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and Civil Aviation Authorities of Sri Lanka, Pakistan, the Maldives and Nepal.
