Three trailblazing Sri Lankans make it to the prestigious Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2025 list.
Chef and YouTube star Charith Silva, the creative force behind WildCookbook, is recognised in the arts category for redefining digital food storytelling. With over 10 million subscribers, Silva’s cooking videos re-cently earned him the YouTube diamond play button – and turned WildCookbook into Sri Lanka’s largest YouTube channel.
He also recently ventured into the restaurant scene through his debut restaurant Wildish.
In retail and e-commerce, Yanika Amarasekera-Siyaguna – the founder of Silver Aisle – is celebrated for revolutionising gift giving with Sri Lanka’s first online wedding registry.
Launched in 2019, the platform has since expanded beyond wedding gifts to include presents for all occa-sions. A UC Berkeley and Imperial College London alumna, Amarasekera-Siyaguna also serves as an inde-pendent director of LB Finance.
In the social media and marketing space, Nikin Matharaarachchi – who is a rising AI expert – is recognised for his startup Synapse AI Labs. His online mention tracking tool – Kommon Poll – provides businesses marketing insights by analysing keyword performance across multiple platforms. Nikin is currently a PhD candidate at Monash University.
Together, the trio represent a bold, young generation shaping Sri Lanka’s digital future.
