Sri Lankan fitness entrepreneur and athlete Yohan Rathnayake achieved a milestone for the country by earning a podium finish at the HYROX Delhi 2025 event, winning third place in the men’s 35-39 division with a time of 1:21:26.
This marks the first time Sri Lanka has raised its flag on the HYROX international stage, signalling the nation’s growing presence in functional fitness. Rathnayake is the founder and chairman of FHIIT, a Sri Lankan fitness chain designed to make professional training accessible to everyone.
Transitioning from corporate sales to full-time fitness entrepreneurship, he has built FHIIT as both a business and movement focussed on coaching excellence, disciplined training and lifestyle transformation.
Competing in Singapore, Mumbai and Delhi, Rathnayake has consistently ranked among Asia’s top HYROX athletes.
And his mission extends beyond competition – he advocates fitness as a pathway to resilience, opportunity and national progress, inspiring Sri Lankans through his message of discipline and purpose.
Looking ahead, Rathnayake plans to expand FHIIT’s impact through youth camps, coach certifications and community wellness programmes.
