Sri Lankan fashion designer Chathuri Samaraweera – Founder and Artistic Director of the ANAYA Collection – showcased her latest works at Paris Fashion Week 2025. Her Spring/Summer 2026 collection titled Balearic Dreaming was presented at an official sideline runway show held at Hotel Le Marois in Paris, drawing over 100 fashion industry professionals and partners.
According to the Embassy of Sri Lanka in France, this is the first time a Sri Lankan designer has presented a collection during Paris Fashion Week, making it a notable moment for the country’s presence on the international fashion stage.
The collection draws inspiration from the Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean, featuring a colour palette of soft blues, rose golds and aquatic tones, reflecting Chathuri’s refined and feminine design aesthetic.
Her work integrates contemporary elegance with global trends while maintaining a signature style under the ANAYA label.
Samaraweera’s participation in Paris Fashion Week marks the growing visibility of South Asian designers in international fashion. Chathuri’s journey from Sri Lanka to one of the world’s most influential fashion platforms illustrates her creative vision and professional dedication.
